Our behavioral therapists, utilize the evidence-based plans to assist patients in reaching meaningful goals. We strive to reduce maladaptive behavior and increase skill acquisition.
Our Approach
Clients receive comprehensive behavioral assessments which allow us to create individualized treatment plans.
Initial Assessment and Goal Setting
Observation and Evaluation
An LABA / BCBA assesses the individual’s strengths, challenges, and behaviors through direct observation, interviews with caregivers and collaterals, review of medical and school history, and administering standardized assessment tools.
Client-centered Goal Setting
Specific goals are established focusing on areas such as communication, social skills, self-care, academics, and replacement behaviors.
Therapy Sessions
Skill Building
The therapist uses techniques like modeling, shaping, chaining, prompting, and reinforcement to teach new skills, such as: 1. Verbal and non-verbal communication 2. Social interactions 3. Daily living activities
Behavior Management
Therapists address challenging behaviors by identifying antecedents and teaching alternative, appropriate replacement responses.
Data Collection and Analysis
Tracking Progress
Therapists collect data during each session.
LABA/BCBA
Monitor the individual’s performance and progress toward goals
Adjustments
Based on the data, the treatment plan is adjusted to ensure continued success and focus on the individual’s evolving needs.
Caregiver Training and Involvement
Empowering Families
Therapists collect data during each session.
Parent training
is a requirement of ABA services and mandated by the insurance companies. This time can be used to discuss the progress and regression of both parent and client goals and provides an opportunity for the caregiver and therapist to discuss the current strengths and challenges. During this time, therapists provide updates and guidance to caregivers, ensuring alignment and collaboration.
